Niagara Falls - The Daffodil Capital of North America
The parklands along the Niagara River contain more daffodils than any other park in North America. Crocus, magnolia, redbud and cherry trees are just some of the spectacular blooms that greet spring each year at Niagara Parks, but daffodils are a special highlight.
Each year, Niagara Parks plants over 30,000 daffodils. Over the decades, these sunny blooms have naturalized, and it is estimated that there are now millions throughout Niagara Parks. To honor this overwhelming number of daffodils, the City of Niagara Falls declared the daffodil its official flower on June 5, 1967. Niagara Parks truly is the Daffodil Capital of North American.

Lilac Garden
Plan a special visit to Niagara Parks in May or early June to experience our fragrant Lilac Garden. On ten acres just to the north side of the Floral Clock, this collection contains over 1,200 plants with over 200 different varieties. Come out at this special time of year to experience the whole range of colors and gorgeous fragrances.
Created in 1967 to commemorate Canada's Centennial Year.

The 2017 Season of the Shaw Festival begins in April and runs through October
The lineup of 11 plays includes two of Bernard Shaw’s most admired works; an edgy new American comedy set on a slave-owner’s plantation; two Canadian political pieces; the North American premiere of a gothic-cum-feminist horror story; an uproarious musical comedy about the English upper classes; and four more plays that continue the Shaw Festival’s mission to provoke social exploration.
