Greater Niagara Region’s Many Festivals

In addition to the many ongoing Canada 150 celebrations around our area, we also get to enjoy the many festivals and fairs that are planned throughout the greater Niagara Region this July and August. From fairs dedicated to eating ribs or celebrating peaches to festivals highlighting jazz while sipping wine – we have it all! 

 

Here are just a few highlights:

Happening at the Forty – July 13,14 and 15

Something for everyone at the Happening at the Forty. This free community festival has events for all ages scheduled over a 3-day period in downtown Grimsby.  This year’s version includes a search for the areas “Lord of the Wings” taking place on Saturday at noon at Coronation Park. Seven restaurants bring their wings for you to sample and then you vote for your favourite!

Livestock Niagara Music & Arts Festival – July 22

Livestock Niagara is a free Music & Arts Festival, located in heart of downtown Niagara Falls. This year’s Festival will feature more than 40 bands, 7 craft beer breweries, 10 visual artists, 10 artisan vendors, 3 health & wellness instructors and much more!

TD Niagara Jazz Festival: July 28, 29 and 30

The TD Niagara Jazz Festival was recently voted the Best New Festival in Ontario.

The 2017 version is the 4th annual festival, which will include an incredible lineup of musical talent at stunning venues from the wine vineyards of Niagara-on-the-Lake to the Performing Arts Centre in St. Catharines.

The TD Niagara Jazz Festival presents the finest Canadian and internationally-acclaimed jazz musicians by way of spectacular concerts, wine, craft beer, and culinary packages, and free performances throughout Niagara-on-the-Lake and selected locations throughout Niagara.

St. Catharines Rib Fest – August 4, 5 and 6

Are you looking for delicious ribs, great music and fun for the whole family? Well then you need to check out the St. Catharines Rotary Rib Fest at Montebello Park in St.Catharines. Admission to the park is free and there is continuous live music from noon until 11pm.
